A Low-Maintenance, Delightfully White Daisy
Why Becky Shasta Daisies?
Whether planted into a garden bed, a container on the porch or cut for flower arrangements, the Becky Shasta Daisy brings delight and charm.
With bright white flowers and sunny yellow centers, the Becky Shasta Daisy offers a soothing and cheerful display that's versatile for mixing into any color palette or garden style. Its flowers are bright and showy, stretching 3 to 4 inches across and effortlessly attracting beautiful pollinators like birds and butterflies.
What's more is that its blooms are hardy, easy to grow, and deer and rabbit resistant. And these flowers typically don't require staking because their stems grow thick and strong, making them ideal for wildflower and cutting gardens.
With fairly good drought tolerance, the Becky Shasta Daisy was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 2003. Plus, it has an extended growing time (up to 4 weeks), boasting blooms well into late summer and early fall for long-lasting garden interest!

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Becky Shasta Daisy in an area of full sun (at least 6 hours per day). It’s not overly picky about soil type as long as there is good drainage. Plant in a wildflower or cutting garden, along a garden wall or in a raised bed.
2. Watering: Water generously upon first planting with extra care during the first growing season. Thereafter, water only during extended hot spells. Fertilizing is not required; compost once in late spring as an option.
3. Pruning: Deadheading can help improve the growth and vitality of your Becky Shasta Daisies. Simply pick off shriveled, older blooms to allow new growth to form in its place. Every 2-3 years it is also encouraged to dig up a small section of your plants and replant elsewhere (or keep as cuttings) to allow better room for new growth.
