Dense, Glossy Leaves on "Drooping" Form, AKA the Weeping Fig
Elevate your home decor with the Benjamina Ficus Tree! This indoor tree is a popular house plant for good reason: perfect for offices, living rooms, and so much more.
This tree, also known as the Weeping Fig, has glossy green leaves on drooping branches, similar to a Weeping Willow but in a much denser form. Its versatile shape is easy to prune however you please, so you can keep it compact indoors or use it as a patio plant outdoors.
Plus, this tree thrives in filtered-light conditions, so you can set it almost anywhere inside your home! It even makes for a natural air purifier and a colorful addition to any room.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Provide your weeping fig with bright, indirect sunlight and plant it in a fast-draining soil-based potting mix. Position it near a window to get plenty of light, but avoid harsh, direct sunlight, particularly in the afternoon. Keep it away from drafts and temperature changes. After the last frost in spring, you can move it outdoors for the summer but return it inside before cold weather arrives.
2. Watering: Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, usually once a week. Avoid overwatering. Ficus benjamina prefers higher humidity, so mist the leaves or use a humidity tray.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Ficus benjamina with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) and every two months in the fall and winter.
4. Pruning: Prune your Ficus to remove dead or yellowing leaves and encourage bushier growth. Trim it if it’s touching the ceiling or needs resizing. Remember to prune when the plant is no longer actively growing.
