Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with well-draining soil and full sun. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and position the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Fill in gently, ensuring good contact with the soil.
2. Watering: Water the plant thoroughly after planting. Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out between waterings. Established plants are drought-tolerant, so less frequent watering is needed during dry spells.
3. Pruning: Prune the plant in early spring to promote new growth and maintain its shape. Remove dead or damaged stems and trim back about one-third of the plant's height to encourage bushy growth.
4. Fertilizing: Lightly fertilize with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Avoid over-fertilization, which can lead to leggy growth and reduce blooms.
