Buttery, Sweet Pears in Just One Year
Why D'Anjou Pear Trees?
The Beurre D'Anjou takes its name from the French word for butter because of its rich flavor...and this full-bodied pear lives up to that name. In fact, this pear is the perfect variety for storage because its unbelievable flavor develops over time, giving you a pear that's unlike any other.
Even better? It's easy to grow. The D'Anjou Pear is cold hardy and drought tolerant, so it's perfect for planting anywhere. Missed waterings, frigid temperatures, and hot, dry climates are no match for the D'Anjou - it keeps on thriving through it all. And though it needs a pollinator (we recommend you pair it with a Bosc Pear Tree close by), more trees mean more delicious fruit for you.
This cultivar originated in Europe and has been developed to perfection. Bred for heavy production, fast fruiting, and unmatched taste that's second to none, the D'Anjou is truly one-of-a-kind. It's called the 'year-round pear' because it lasts for months after harvesting, providing you with the most delicious baking ingredient, the ideal on-the-go snack or the perfect gift for friends and neighbors.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant in full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-draining soil.
Dig a hole three times the size and just as deep as the root ball. After the hole is dug, carefully loosen and unwind any roots as necessary. Plant the tree so that the roots are spread in the hole and the entire root ball is covered with soil. Fill in the hole completely and gently remove air pockets that may have formed by tamping down. Water the tree thoroughly after the tree has been planted.
2. Watering: Water your Pear Tree weekly, or check the surrounding soil about 3 inches down for dryness. When the weather gets hot and dry during the peak of summer, increase the amount of water to maintain proper hydration and moisture.
3. Pruning: Trim the pear tree's central leader, and if there are any competing branches present, remove them so that multiple leaders do not form. Dead or broken branches should be removed as necessary.
