Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location that receives full sun (5-6 hours of direct sunlight) and well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Place the rose, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. For containers, use a pot with drainage holes and quality potting mix.
2. Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Water deeply once or twice a week, depending on weather conditions. Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal issues.
3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced rose fertilizer in early spring as new growth appears. Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season to promote continuous blooming. Stop fertilizing in late summer to allow the plant to prepare for dormancy.
4. Pruning: In early spring, remove dead or weak branches and shape the plant as needed. Deadhead spent blooms throughout the season to encourage continuous flowering. Perform a light pruning in late winter for optimal growth.
