Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny location where the soil drains well to promote healthy growth. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and gently place the rose in, ensuring it sits at the same depth as in its nursery container. Fill in the soil, pat gently to eliminate air pockets, and water thoroughly.
2. Watering: Consistent moisture is vital during the growing season. Water deeply once a week, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Adjust frequency based on rainfall and temperature to avoid root rot.
3. Pruning: Prune in early spring before new growth begins, removing dead or damaged wood. To encourage a bushier shape, cut back up to one-third of the previous season’s growth. Always use sharp, clean tools to minimize damage.
4. Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced rose fertilizer in early spring and again in mid-summer to boost blooming. Follow package instructions for the correct dosage to ensure healthy growth and vibrant blooms.
