This fast-growing beauty not only enhances your yard with its unique soft, feathery foliage but also brings a stunning transformation in the fall, when the leaves shift to a warm copper hue. Thriving in either full sun or partial shade, it's an adaptable option that suits a variety of settings, making it a fantastic choice for ground cover or as a low-height accent.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this shrub is an excellent environmental asset. Its dense growth habit provides habitat for local wildlife and helps prevent soil erosion, making it an eco-friendly choice for gardeners. Whether you're looking to fill in bare patches or add a splash of color through the seasons, Celtic Pride® Siberian Cypress Shrub offers a resilient, beautiful option that enhances both the look and health of your landscape.
About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with well-drained soil, either in full sun or partial shade. Avoid planting in compacted or water logged soils. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and as deep as the plant itself. Place the shrub in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Fill in with soil, patting it down gently to remove air pockets, and water thoroughly.
2. Watering: Water the shrub regularly, especially during dry periods. Once established, it becomes drought-tolerant, but young plants will benefit from weekly watering until they develop a strong root system.
3. Pruning: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage denser growth. Remove dead or damaged branches as needed. Major pruning should typically be avoided, as it can affect the plant's natural form.
4. Fertilizing: Fertilize sparingly in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to promote healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can lead to excessive leggy growth.
