A beautifully narrow silhouette perfect for small spaces

For those looking to add a touch of elegance to their landscape, this tree features an upright, columnar growth habit that can enhance any garden setting. The striking blue-green needles are not only visually appealing but also provide year-round interest. Whether flanking a pathway or serving as a solitary focal point, this evergreen uniquely combines form and function, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens or as an evergreen hedge.

Beyond its aesthetic allure, this plant is remarkably low-maintenance and adaptable to various soil types. Its hardiness also ensures that it can withstand harsh cold climates, making it a reliable choice for gardeners seeking both beauty and durability. By incorporating this tree into your yard, you create a dynamic look that can help elevate the overall landscape design.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Remove the stake and ties at planting, as these are only for shipping. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade, ensuring well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Place the plant in the hole, fill with soil, and water thoroughly. Spread a 3" layer of mulch 3 feet around the tree, pulling the mulch back a few inches from the trunk.

2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, especially during the first year as the plant establishes. Once established, it can tolerate some drought, but regular watering will encourage healthier growth.

3. Pruning: Light pruning can be done in early spring to maintain the desired shape and size. Remove any dead or crossing branches to improve air circulation and overall appearance.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support growth. Follow the package instructions for application rates and frequency, typically once in spring and once in late summer for optimal results.
