A fast-growing tree perfect for screening and privacy

If you're looking to enhance your landscape with a reliable and attractive tree, this selection is an excellent choice. With its narrow habit and fast-growing nature, it fits seamlessly into tight spaces while providing robust privacy all year round. Not only does it create an effective screen for your yard, but it also holds its vibrant color through the winter months, ensuring that your landscape remains visually interesting even in the colder season.

This tree offers exceptional versatility, adapting well to various landscape styles while adding an evergreen touch. It’s particularly valuable for creating boundaries or privacy screens without overwhelming your space, making it ideal for urban or smaller gardens. With four seasons of foliage, it brings continuous visual appeal and a sense of enclosure to your outdoor area.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a site with well-drained soil and clear the area of weeds. Dig a hole about twice the width of the root ball, place the tree in the center, and backfill with soil, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding ground. Apply a 3" layer of mulch three feet around the tree, pulling the mulch back a few inches from the trunk.

2. Watering: Water the tree deeply after planting, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged. Water 2–3 times a week for the first growing season, adjusting for your local conditions. Water when the soil is dry 2" down, right around the rootball. Water deeply and slowly, allowing the water to penetrate the top 12" of soil. After establishment, water during periods of dry, hot weather.

3. Pruning: Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Remove any dead or damaged branches and shape the plant as needed to keep it tidy.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to promote healthy growth.
