A stunning addition with delightful blooms

The Greenspire® Linden Tree stands out in any landscape with its dense, pyramidal shape and vibrant green foliage. This tree offers a robust presence, making it an excellent choice for those looking to create a focal point in their yard or maintain a stately canopy in urban settings. One of its most charming features is the sweetly fragrant, cream to yellow flowers that blossom in mid-summer, attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies. This delightful display not only adds visual interest but also supports local wildlife, making it an environmentally friendly choice for your garden.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Greenspire® Linden Tree is known for its adaptability and resilience. It thrives in a variety of soil types and can tolerate urban pollution, ensuring it remains a vibrant part of your landscape for years to come. With its strong branching structure, this tree can withstand storms and harsh weather conditions while providing shaded comfort during warm months. Planting a Greenspire® Linden doesn’t just enhance your yard’s beauty; it contributes to a healthier environment, making it a truly valuable addition.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location with full to partial sunlight, ideally 6 to 8 hours a day. The soil should be well-drained but able to retain some moisture. Dig a hole that is twice the width of the root ball and just as deep. Gently loosen the roots before placing the tree in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil. Backfill with soil, gently tamping down to eliminate air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting.

2. Watering: Young trees require consistent moisture, especially during the first few years as they establish roots. Deep watering once a week is a good practice, particularly during dry spells. Check the soil moisture regularly; if the top inch of soil feels dry, it’s time to water. Once established, the Greenspire® Linden is relatively drought-tolerant but will benefit from supplemental watering during prolonged dry periods.

3. Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring while the tree is still dormant. Remove any dead or damaged branches, and shape the tree as needed to maintain a central leader and balanced canopy. Avoid heavy pruning, as this can stress the tree. Regular light shaping will keep it healthy and looking its best without compromising its growth.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer to support healthy growth. If you notice poor foliage color or growth, an application of nitrogen can be beneficial. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the appropriate amount based on the tree's age and size.
