Vibrant Colors and Sturdy Growth Help this Perennial Stand Out

The incredibly light pink blossoms of the HGC® Ice N' Roses® Picotee are so soft they are nearly white, offset by dark pink edges for a dramatic effect. The outward facing flowers grow on long sturdy stems above the glossy dark green foliage, where they will bloom for several weeks.

The Ice N' Roses® Picotee doesn’t mind the cold and you’ll delight when your garden starts coming alive with these beauties as early as January. While these flowers do very well in outside beds and borders, they also thrive when planted in containers or cut for bouquets and admired indoors.

Robust and evergreen, Ice N' Roses® Picotees are easy to care for. Highly resistant to disease and holding no appeal to deer, these charming perennials will come back year after year. Add these remarkable flowers to your collection today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Hellebores do not like very dry, very wet, or poorly drained soil. Select a planting site that is in partial shade and sheltered from strong winds.

Plant your Ice and Roses® Picotee in a hole twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Water immediately to establish roots. Once established, it requires minimal care. Hellebores have deep roots, so if you plan to grow them in a container, make sure to use one that is deep enough. The container should be thick-walled and large enough to prevent the soil from freezing, as the plant cannot absorb water when the roots are frozen.

2. Watering: Make sure to provide enough water, especially after planting. Plants in containers should never be allowed to dry out completely, but be careful to avoid waterlogged conditions.

3. Pruning: Cut back spent flower heads to prevent seedlings. Remove old or damaged leaves and dead flowers in the spring.

4. Fertilizing: It is recommended to use a standard planting medium with a pH level that is not too acidic. Avoid using peat moss as it is not suitable for planting.
