An Easy-Growing Shrub With Delicate, White Blooms

The Jazz Hands® White Loropetalum is a unique-looking flower full of spidery, white blooms. It has dark green foliage that provides year-round interest as an evergreen. The small shrub is a prolific bloomer, with repeat blooms from early summer to fall.

Also known as the Chinese Fringe Flower, this dwarf variety has a naturally small, mounded, and bushy shape. This makes it ideal for use in beds, borders, small hedges, containers, and as specimen plants in small gardens.

The Jazz Hands® White Loropetalum is known for being extremely low-maintenance. It is pest, disease, and deer-resistant. Once established, it requires very little fertilizer, pruning, and supplemental water to flourish.

Add this unique and easy-to-grow perennial to your garden. Order online today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location with full to partial sun. Full sun encourages the best flower production in the plant, though it likes afternoon shade in warmer climates.

Mix compost with your soil, and then dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Hold the stem upright as you backfill the hole with soil. Colder climates can benefit from adding a layer of mulch to the base of the plant, making sure that no mulch touches the base of the stem.

2. Watering: Loropetalums have average water needs. Water frequently until well established. Mature plants are drought-tolerant, but do best when grown in moist, well-draining soil.

3. Fertilizing: Loropetalums benefit from an annual fertilizer application. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring.

4. Pruning: Pruning is only needed for shaping purposes or to remove dead branches, though the natural shape of the plant is round and mounded. Flowers bloom on old wood, so wait for the shrub to begin blooming before pruning.
