Classic Beauty with Modern Resilience
The Martha Stewart™ Hybrid Tea Rose represents the pinnacle of rose breeding, combining old-world charm with contemporary garden performance. Developed by Star Roses and Plants, this distinguished variety produces magnificent blooms in a soft apricot palette that evolves from peachy tones to deeper, richer hues as the flowers open—a mesmerizing transformation that unfolds throughout your growing season. Beyond its visual appeal, the Martha Stewart rose captivates with a sophisticated fragrance that blends fruity undertones with classic floral sweetness. This makes it an exceptional choice for cutting gardens, allowing you to enjoy fresh bouquets indoors while the plant continues producing new blooms. The variety demonstrates impressive resistance to common rose diseases, reducing maintenance demands and letting you focus on enjoying your garden rather than managing problems. Growing to a balanced, manageable size, this rose adapts well to various garden settings—from dedicated rose beds to mixed borders and containers. Plant in full sun with nutrient-rich, well-draining soil for optimal results. From late spring through autumn frost, expect continuous flowering that rewards your care with months of garden beauty and fragrant cut flowers.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with 6–8 hours of direct sun and rich, well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball. For container-grown plants, loosen the roots before planting. Position with the crown slightly above soil level, backfill, and water deeply. Mulch to retain moisture.
2. Watering: Water regularly until established. Check for wilting in the morning as a sign to water. Once established, water deeply but less frequently to encourage strong root development. Container-grown roses need more frequent watering—always saturate thoroughly until water drains out the bottom.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring after the danger of frost. Use a rose-specific fertilizer and follow label instructions. Repeat light feedings through the season to support continuous blooming, but stop in late summer to allow new growth to harden before winter.
4. Pruning: Prune hybrid tea roses 3–4 weeks before your last frost date. Remove one-third to two-thirds of the plant to stimulate fresh growth and more flowers. Deadhead spent blooms regularly throughout the growing season to promote new flowers and maintain shape.
