A stunning burst of color that lasts from spring to fall

Milly Rock™ Yarrow is a standout choice for rock gardens, containers, borders, and seasonal groundcover plantings. Its naturally spreading habit quickly fills spaces, while its compact, mounded form stays neat and tidy throughout the season. Upright stems are topped with clusters of ruby-red blooms accented by golden centers, creating a vibrant display from summer into fall. Exceptionally tough, this yarrow thrives in poor soils, heat, and drought once established, while also offering excellent deer resistance.

Beyond its easy-care nature, Milly Rock™ brings lasting beauty and valuable pollinator support to the landscape. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and butterflies, helping create a more vibrant garden ecosystem. Whether you're adding a splash of color to a patio container or filling a larger planting area, its long-lasting blooms provide season-long color, texture, and visual impact with minimal maintenance.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a spot with well-draining soil and at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball and place the plant level with the soil surface. Fill in with soil and gently firm it down to eliminate air pockets.

2. Watering: Water the plant regularly during the first few weeks to help establish its roots. Once established, it is drought-tolerant. Yarrow can flop with too frequent moisture. During periods of drought, plants may stop blooming until regular rainfall returns. Provide supplemental water to keep plants looking their best in periods of drought conditions.

3. Pruning: In early spring, cut back any dead foliage to promote new growth. During the growing season, cut plants back to basal foliage to promote reblooming. If plants are becoming aggressive, divide plants or mow to the ground.

4. Fertilizing: Yarrow does best without fertilizer, though fresh compost can be worked into the garden bed in early spring for a nutrient boost.
