A Huge Harvest of Sweet Blueberries For Your Southern Garden
If you live in zones 7-9 and want to grow your very own delicious blueberries, then look no further than the Premier Blueberry.
In no time at all, you’ll be eating fresh, sugary sweet blueberries from your garden…
Premier blueberries are large, dark-blue berries that love to grow in the southern heat.
· Low chill time – Premier Blueberries only need 500 hours below 45 degrees.
· Heat tolerant – Unlike other blueberries, Premiers love the heat of the Southeast and it won’t damage your plant.
· Hardly any maintenance – With no pruning, very little pest problems, and an easy watering schedule, you’ll be able to enjoy your Premier blueberries without any hassle.
Picture an early summer day, walking in your garden and eating fresh blueberries that you just picked! You’ll never eat a store-bought blueberry again.
And these bite-sized sweet snacks are great for your body. Packed full of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants, you can’t eat too many.
The Premier harvest is the biggest of any dark blueberry, so you’ll have plenty of berries for fresh eating, desserts, recipes, jams, and even freezing for later.
This type of Blueberry is a Rabbiteye and it needs another Rabbiteye to grow. We recommend planting a Powderblue Blueberry to ensure to best growth!

Planting & Care
You can plant your Premier Blueberry in your garden or in a pot. Either way, you'll need to make sure it gets full sun and the soil is well drained and acidic. If you plant in your garden, be sure to leave 10ft. of space between your other plants. Birds love blueberries too, so make sure you use a garden net to get the most out of your harvest.
Watering: Premier Blueberries are drought tolerant, but need to be watered once a week during the first year. Don't overwater the bush. The roots are very shallow and can easily drown.
Fertilization: Once you see leaves on your plant, you can add some acidic fertilizer. Once your plant is fully mature, you can fertilize it once a year in June and again in the fall if it didn't harvest well.
Pruning: You won't need to prune your Premier Blueberry unless you want to manage the size and shape of the hedge. If so, prune in late winter.
Pollination: This is not a self-fertile plant and will need another variety of Rabbiteye blueberry to thrive. We recommend the Premier Blueberry.
When to pick: Your blueberries are ready to pick and eat when they fall right into your hand. When they easily fall off without plucking, then they're perfectly ripe. Blueberries will last 1 week in your fridge, but you'll need to freeze them if you don’t eat them in a week.
