Grow Delicious Cherries Right Outside Your Door
Enjoy your own crop of ripe, juicy fruit with the Easy As Pie™ Cherry Bush! This easy-to-grow shrub is the perfect compact addition to any yard, taking up just a fraction of the space that a cherry tree does. Grow an abundance of incredible tart cherries, perfect for using in baked goods, for canning, or as preserves.
In addition to its delicious fruit, the Easy as Pie™ Cherry Bush offers plenty of ornamental beauty as well. It greets spring with brilliant white flowers, which give way to vivid green foliage and bright red cherries during the summer. Fall brings a spectacular display of bright orange and yellow hues, offering an extended show of color.
Low-maintenance and unfussy, the Easy as Pie™ Cherry Bush is self-pollinating and resistant to disease. Unlike cherry trees, it requires no pruning or spraying, and can be planted as a stand alone bush. Whether tucked into a small space or planted in a row to create an edible hedge, the Easy as Pie™ Cherry Bush is a blue ribbon winner. Grow yours today!
About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.
Pollination Info
Proven Winners® Easy As Pie™ Cherry Bush Pollination
Proven Winners® Easy As Pie™ Cherry Bushs are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Proven Winners® Easy As Pie™ Cherry Bush will drastically increase the size of your crop.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Easy as Pie™ cherry in a location that receives full sun (6-8 hours per day), in moderate to well-drained soil. Dig a hole that provides enough room for the root ball. Place the shrub in the hole, backfill with soil and water thoroughly.
2. Watering: Water your cherry shrub weekly. If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the top 2 inches of soil for dryness. Water when the soil is dry at this depth.
3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer in late winter or early spring, then again in mid-summer for best production.
4. Pollination: This plant is self-fertilizing, so no pollinator plant is necessary to produce fruit.
