Compact and floriferous, perfect for all gardens

For a vibrant touch in your garden, consider adding this delightful perennial. In its first year, it forms a small, perfectly rounded clump of lush, green leaves. By year two, it retains its compact shape while expanding its spread to just over two feet. Notably, this selection boasts a tidy habit and is somewhat smaller than its predecessor, 'Cat's Meow'.

What truly sets this plant apart is its impressive floral display. From early summer to fall, periwinkle blue flowers bloom closely together, creating a stunning visual impact against the dark purple calyxes. Aside from its good looks, it’s a smart choice for low-maintenance gardening, being drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and long-blooming. Plus, the aromatic foliage is known to attract cats, bringing a playful touch to your landscape.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil and space the plants about 18-24 inches apart to allow for their spreading habit.

2. Watering: Keep the soil moderately moist during the first growing season. Once established, this plant is very drought-tolerant, requiring little additional watering.

3. Pruning: To encourage a bushier growth habit and more blooms, trim back the plant after the first flush of flowers in early summer. Deadheading spent blooms will prolong the flowering period.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth begins. Avoid excessive fertilization, as this can lead to legginess.
