Delicious fruit combined with ornamental beauty
The Splendid!® Blue blueberry is not just a treat for your taste buds; it also brings a delightful aesthetic to your garden. With its lush, rounded mound of dusky blue foliage, this shrub provides year-round interest. In spring, it showcases lovely white flowers that attract pollinators, adding a charm that can't be overlooked. As summer approaches, you'll find yourself rewarded with an abundance of luscious blueberries that are renowned for their incredible sweetness and flavor, making them perfect for fresh eating, baking, or preserves.
This versatile shrub is not only beautiful but also incredibly easy to grow. While it can produce fruit without a pollinator, it thrives best when paired with compatible blueberry varieties, enhancing both fruit yield and size. As a result, planting the Splendid!® Blue can significantly elevate your landscape, providing a feast for the eyes and the palate, all while being a fantastic addition to any garden space.
About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a sunny location with well-draining, acidic soil for optimal growth. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball and as deep as the ball itself. Gently place the shrub in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface. Fill in with soil and water well to settle the roots.
2. Watering: Establish a regular watering routine, especially during dry spells. Water the shrub deeply, ensuring the soil remains moist but not soggy. A layer of mulch can help retain soil moisture and regulate temperature.
3. Pruning: Prune the shrub lightly after flowering to shape it and remove any dead or damaged branches. In order to encourage better fruit production, consider more substantial pruning during winter, focusing on removing older wood.
4. Fertilizing: Apply an acid-based fertilizer in early spring as new growth begins. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosage to support vigorous growth and fruit production.
