Proven Winners® Taste of Heaven® Blackberry Shrubs are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Proven Winners® Taste of Heaven® Blackberry Shrub will drastically increase the size of your crop.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil for your TASTE OF HEAVEN® blackberry. Plant in spring or fall, digging a hole twice the width of the root ball. Place the shrub at the same depth as it was in the container and backfill with soil. Water well after planting.
2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the first few weeks after planting. Once established, water weekly, increasing frequency during dry spells. Avoid waterlogging, as this can cause root rot.
3. Pruning: In late winter or early spring, prune back canes to about 3-4 feet above ground to encourage new growth. Remove any dead or weak canes to maintain airflow and prevent disease.
