Fragrant Spring Blooms and Sweet, Juicy Fruit
Why Scarlet Prince Peach Trees?
With vibrant red-pink blossoms and succulent white-fleshed peaches, the Scarlet Prince Peach Tree brings both beauty and flavor to your landscape. This standout variety delivers fast-growing fruit and a spectacular floral display that’s sure to turn heads each spring.
Scarlet Prince peaches are a true delight—firm yet juicy, with creamy yellow flesh and irresistible sweetness. As a freestone variety, they’re easy to pit, making them perfect for enjoying straight from the branch, baking into cobblers, or preserving in homemade jams. They ripen in early August, arriving just in time for your favorite late-summer treats like peach ice cream.
While the fruit is a standout, the show starts even earlier. Come spring, the tree is covered in brilliant red-tinged blossoms, releasing a soft, sweet fragrance that adds ornamental charm well before the first peach forms.
Even better? The Scarlet Prince is self-pollinating, so you only need one tree to start harvesting. That said, planting more than one can boost your overall yield.
Thanks to its compact size, this dwarf peach tree fits easily into smaller spaces, growing to a manageable 10–15 feet tall. That means no ladders needed—harvesting your peaches is simple and convenient.
Whether you're looking for a fruitful harvest or an eye-catching spring show, the Scarlet Prince Peach Tree is the perfect addition to your home orchard or backyard garden.
Pollination Info
Scarlet Prince Peach Tree Pollination
Scarlet Prince Peach Trees are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Scarlet Prince Peach Tree will drastically increase the size of your crop.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with well-draining soil and plenty of sunlight—your Scarlet Prince Peach Tree will thrive in full sun, soaking up 6+ hours of light each day. It’s adaptable to a variety of soil types, as long as drainage is good.
Dig a hole that’s twice as wide as the tree’s root ball and just as deep. Place the tree in the hole, fill in with soil, and water thoroughly to eliminate air pockets. Finish by adding a thick layer of mulch around the base to help retain moisture, but keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent rot.
2. Watering: Water deeply after planting to settle the roots. During the first few years, you might need to water weekly during the hottest months. Once established, water as needed during the growing season - if the surrounding soil is dry about 2 inches down, it's time to water your tree.
3. Fertilizing: After the second year, add a nitrogen-based fertilizer in the late spring or early summer.
4. Pruning: Remove dead and damaged shoots and branches in late winter or early spring after the threat of a harsh freeze has passed. You can also remove any shoots at the bottom of the tree that do not appear to be producing.
