Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily and has well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and slightly deeper than the root ball. Place the plant in the hole and backfill with soil, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface.
2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy during the growing season. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again.
3. Pruning: Prune in early spring before new growth begins to shape the plant and remove any dead or damaged wood. Lightly deadhead spent blooms during the growing season to encourage continuous flowering.
4. Fertilizing: Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in early spring and again in mid-summer. Follow package instructions for application rates, as over-fertilizing can harm the plant.
