Citrusy Herb with Endless Uses

Lemongrass is a perennial, tropical grass native to southern India and Sri Lanka. Known for its citrusy scent and taste as well as multiple health benefits, lemongrass has many culinary, medicinal, and cosmetic uses. It has been widely used in many Asian cuisines and dishes, particularly Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian, within soups, curries, teas, and more. This product is Certified Organic by Clemson University.

The leaves, or stalks, of the Lemongrass plant are tall and slender with an arching growth habit, offering visual interest to herb gardens, pathways, borders, and containers along with their aromatic fragrance. This plant is also low-maintenance and drought-tolerant, and thrives in a variety of soil conditions.

If you're looking for a versatile herb with endless uses in your kitchen and home, our Organic Lemongrass does it all. Grow yours today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant your lemongrass in a container or area that receives full sunlight (6-8 hours per day). Add a layer of organic mulch, such as straw or bark, around the base of your plants to help conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and maintain soil temperature.

2. Watering: Water thoroughly and regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Established plants can tolerate some drought but grow best with consistent watering. Be careful not to over-water, as this can lead to root rot.

3. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. Be careful not to overfertilize, as this can promote growth at the expense of flavorful stalks.

4. Pruning: Regularly remove any yellow or dead leaves to encourage new growth.

5. Harvesting: Harvest lemongrass stalks from the base of the plant when they are about 1/2" in diameter.
