Blazing Color, Shade, and Easy Growth
Why Autumn Gold Ginkgo Trees?
The strong, full growth of the Ginkgo is incomparable: From its thick, full and vibrantly green foliage to its easy-growing shade. With the Autumn Gold, you get these classic benefits and the perk of dazzling gold in the fall.
And the Autumn Gold's open branching means you see more color than with other varieties. That translates to weeks of unmatched color in your landscape, especially because it grows so large and full.
The Autumn Gold, also known as the Maiden Hair Tree, builds on the Ginkgo's long-lasting, reliable reputation. The Ginkgo is the world's oldest tree for good reason...it survives and thrives, long after others fade. It's tolerant of pollution, disease, insects and more, so whether you're a city dweller or rural homeowner, the Autumn Gold is perfect for you. Even better is the fact that it adapts well to a number of soil types, so there's no guesswork in growing.
Plus, because the Autumn Gold is a fruitless male strain, it doesn't emit an unpleasant smell like other Ginkgos. Not only do you get a more symmetrical, stunning branching pattern not seen with typical varieties, but you also get these good looks without the hassle of the Ginkgo's foul aroma.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose an area with 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day and well-drained soil. Dig a hole that’s at least two to three times wider than your Ginkgo’s root ball. After placing your tree, backfill its soil, tamp down to avoid air pockets and water to help establish its roots.
2. Watering: Water your tree thoroughly about once a week until it's established (the first few seasons of growth). If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil, down to around 2 or 3 inches. If the soil is dry, it’s time to water.
3. Pruning: Simply remove dead or damaged branches. If you want to prune for shaping, do so during winter.
