The Best Pollinator Plum You Can Buy

Why Bubblegum Toka Plum Trees?

Delivering a huge, healthy harvest of plums, the Toka Plum Tree is a heavy producer. Even better? It produces tons of pollen to fertilize your other plum trees, meaning you'll get an abundance of plums from every plum tree in your garden with the Toka.

It’s known as the 'pollinator' plum. But it’s also perfect for growing anywhere. The Toka is synonymous with big harvests and strong growth, no matter where you’re located because it’s cold hardy down to a whopping -20 degrees.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

When you order your Toka from Fast Growing Trees, you'll get juicy plums in just two years or sooner and a tree that works hard to grow your garden. In fact, our larger trees can fruit the first year!

That’s because we’ve grown and nurtured your Toka Plum at our nursery from day one, so it’s ready to take off when it arrives at your door. Plus, unlike other nurseries and garden centers, we never ship bare root.

These other plums on the market tend to die back after planting, but our Toka Plum is grafted from reliable, healthy rootstock so that you get the same great benefits, year after year. Whether you’re looking for a pollinator or just a single fruit tree and mini orchard for your garden, the Toka has it all.

Pollination Info

Bubblegum 'Toka' Plum Tree Pollination

Bubblegum 'Toka' Plum Trees are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Bubblegum 'Toka' Plum Tree will drastically increase the size of your crop.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant your Toka Plum in well-draining soil and in full to partial sun.

Dig a hole that is twice as wide but just as deep as the root ball. Place your tree, backfill your soil and water to settle the roots. Mulch the surrounding soil to conserve moisture.

2. Watering: Water young trees heavily during the first growing season to help promote growth, then water regularly. Best to water deeply at the soil line, let the soil dry out slightly then water again. Do not let the soil become fully dry. Water well into the early autumn, so as to have good soil moisture through the winter.

3. Fertilizing: During the first few years, you can add balanced fertilizer at the beginning of spring. However, it is not necessary to fertilize your tree once it begins to bear fruit. Use a fruit-specific fertilizer or a balanced 10-10-10 formula.

4. Pruning: Your Toka Plum only requires light pruning in winter to get rid of dead branches. You can also do some additional pruning to lighten the branches or maintain a vase shape, but it is not necessary.
