Bushels of Plums, Quickly & Easily

Why Methley Plum Trees?

You'll love picking these delicious, sun-ripened Methley Plums from your very own tree...just outside your door!

This vigorous plum tree, considered more productive and attractive than just about any other plum tree, produces a huge harvest of fruit each year. So much, in fact, that one harvest requires multiple pickings! It's an upright, spreading tree with pretty springtime blossoms and glossy green leaves that make it quite ornamental.

Why Fast-Growing-Trees.com is Better

The Methley is self-fertile and does not require another plum tree to produce fruit, and it is a dwarf variety that grows to only 10-20 feet tall.

This makes it the ideal plum tree for limited spaces. It is also a low maintenance tree that requires little to no pruning. Disease resistant and tolerant of dry, hot conditions, it thrives without any effort from you...especially since we've nurtured it for months ahead of shipping.

But don't wait...get your Methley Plum today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Prepare your hole by digging it three times as wide as the root ball and just as deeply. Gently comb the root ball freeing up any compacted roots and place the tree. Backfill the hole partially, pressing down gently as you go along and water to settle the soil. Once the hole has been completely filled, add a layer of organic mulch around the tree to help conserve water. Do not let the mulch touch the trunk of the tree as this can promote rot and fungus.

2. Watering: Water your tree generously weekly, twice a week for the first growing season, to help promote the growth. Deep waterings encourage the roots to extend more deeply into the soil which in turn makes the tree more drought resistant.

3. Fertilizing: There are a couple of steps for proper fertilizing of your plum tree to ensure a healthy growing season. Young trees that are three years or younger will benefit from about a half cup of balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer formula applied once in around mid-April and again in early June.
