Versatile, Cold-Hardy Shrub With Year-Round Dark Green Foliage

The Stonehenge Dark Druid® Yew offers year-round color to liven up your yard with deep green shades. It's also compact and low-growing enough for a variety of uses!

This cold-hardy shrub has super dense, dark green foliage similar to ferns. And since it's shade-tolerant, you can place it near taller trees and plants for some added greenery.

Plus, this dwarf shrub is low-maintenance and versatile, making it a must-have in any smaller space in your yard or garden. Plant it in containers, borders, landscapes, or even as a substitute for boxwoods!

Enjoy evergreen color throughout the seasons with the Stonehenge Dark Druid® Yew. Buy yours today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant in moist, well-drained soil, avoiding excessively wet areas. Once established, this plant can tolerate some dryness. It prefers full sun (6+ hours of sunlight) or partial sun (4-6 hours of sunlight) but can also grow in deep shade (less than 4 hours of sunlight). Make sure to space the plants at least 3 feet apart.

2. Watering: This plant's water requirements are moderate, but be careful not to over-water.

3. Fertilizing: In early spring, consider applying a granular rose or garden fertilizer. It is advisable to use a 2-3 inch layer of mulch. Avoid letting the soil become extremely dry in autumn, as this can cause the evergreen foliage to dry out during winter.

4. Pruning: Due to its rounded dwarf habit, regular pruning is unnecessary. Selective removal of branches can be done if desired.
