Self-Pollinating, Abundant Raspberry Producer

Are you ready to introduce fruit bushes to your outdoor space but don’t know where to start? The Willamette Red Raspberry Bush produces large quantities of juicy raspberries while being both low maintenance and self-pollinating.

Heavily producing fruit in mid-summer, the Willamette Red Raspberry is one of the most widely planted raspberry bushes worldwide. It produces small, white flowers in spring that make way for an abundant harvest of summer raspberries. These raspberries are a delight to beginner and experienced gardeners alike with firm, slightly tart fruit that’s perfect for snacking on or making jams, jellies, salsas and baked goods.

In addition, this deciduous bush requires little upkeep and gives a multitude of fruit in return. Instead of spending hours pruning, hand-pollinating, or watering in order to get a fruitful harvest, you’ll enjoy easy growth. Plus, the Willamette Red Raspberry thrives in full sun, but is also shade tolerant, so it can adapt to different locations.

Start harvesting your own large, reliable raspberries without the hassle. Grow your Willamette Red Raspberry Bush now!

Pollination Info

Willamette Red Raspberry Bush Pollination

Willamette Red Raspberry Bushs are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Willamette Red Raspberry Bush will drastically increase the size of your crop.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Choose a location that offers full sun (6 to 8 hours of sunlight) and well-drained soil. Dig a hole that provides enough room for the root ball, place your bush, and backfill the soil.

To plant in a container, select a pot with drainage holes that is twice as large as your  shipped container. Use organic soil, place your bush, and water to settle the roots.

2. Watering: Water your raspberry weekly. If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the top 2 inches of soil for dryness. Water when the soil is dry at this depth.

3. Fertilizing: You can use compost with a small amount of balanced organic fertilizer, applying late in the winter.

4. Pruning: Prune raspberries in the fall, leaving about 6 of the thickest, strongest, green canes. Make sure you cut off any sideways-growing canes.
